Beach still life paintings

Flore C.E. Primary School

These still life paintings contain objects that the children at Flore Primary School might take to the beach.

Year 3 and 4 pupils collected and selected the buckets and spades and arranged them in a variety of compositions. Using a limited palette they explored form and colour in poster paint, overlaid with oil pastels.

The children learnt about primary and secondary colours, they experimented with light and shade, and they became more spatially aware.
