St Cuthbert's Church of England Primary School, Leicester

Mixed age group

Each class explored what Tobias might have seen on his journey and how he might have felt. Stories were written, dances developed, wings made and imaginary journeys taken.

This piece of weaving was a collaborative school project. The simple wooden loom was one of six constructed to weave a variety of fabrics and colours to describe the landscape that Tobias may have journeyed through. The woven screen was projected as a backdrop for our school dance performance: Take One Picture and Dance.

'Everyone who was in school that summer won’t forget it. My favourite bit was definitely the weaving - my friend Katie and I kept going back to do more.'
