St John's School, Nottingham

An architectural model-maker worked with a Year 6 class at St John's School, Nottingham, over a number of weeks in the afternoons.

He talked to the students about his profession and taught them how to construct their own 3D model of Canaletto's 'The Stonemason's Yard'. The students learnt about precision measuring and cutting, and have continued making similar models.
