Sixpenny Handley First School Sculpture

This sculpture was produced with the help of local artist and parent Peter Rush. He worked with students in Years 3 and 4 to create life-size figures using a papier mâché technique. The students worked on the figures, refining their clothing and painting the elaborate costumes of the period, using metallic paints to reproduce the sheen of the expensive fabrics of the era.
