Seaside fun!
Ernehale Infant School
The children at Ernehale Infant School, in Nottingham, studied Degas's 'Beach Scene' and talked about the characters in the painting; from the larger figures in the foreground to the smallest details of people swimming in the background.
They then decided to make their own 'seaside fun' picture. The beach was printed using different shapes and textures of inked paper. Figures of different sizes were attached to give the picture a feeling of perspective, like Degas's. If you look closely you can see the children have signed the work with their handprints. |
